Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At DigiFortex, we are dedicated to upholding the privacy rights of California residents as set forth in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Whether as a Business collecting personal information or as a Service Provider processing data on behalf of clients, we take our responsibilities seriously.

Our Role

When delivering cybersecurity services, managed IT solutions, or compliance support, DigiFortex often acts as a Service Provider or Contractor under CCPA/CPRA. We process personal information of clients’ customers, employees, or users strictly on their behalf, as directed by written contract, and solely for the purpose of delivering contracted services.

Data Restrictions

Our contracts strictly prohibit retaining, using, or disclosing personal information for any purpose other than specified, in line with CCPA/CPRA. DigiFortex does not sell or share any client data we process.

Consumer Rights Requests

California residents wishing to exercise rights regarding data processed on behalf of a DigiFortex client should submit requests directly to that client (the "Business"). We fully cooperate to ensure verifiable requests are fulfilled as required by law.

When We Act as a Business

We also act as a Business when collecting personal information directly from individuals interacting with our website — such as names, emails, phone numbers, and company information — through demo requests, newsletter sign-ups, or lead-generation forms.

Privacy Policy

For details on the categories of personal information collected, purposes of use, and your rights, please review our comprehensive Privacy Policy.

Our Commitment

We implement robust privacy practices and provide clear mechanisms for California residents to exercise their rights efficiently, maintaining transparency about how we handle personal information.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under CCPA/CPRA:

Right to Know

Request categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you, including sources, purposes, and third parties it has been shared with.

Right to Delete

Request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

Direct us not to sell or share your personal information. DigiFortex does not sell or share data collected on this website for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Right to Correct

Request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

Right to Limit Sensitive Data Use

Direct us to limit use of sensitive personal data only to what is necessary to perform the requested services.

Right of Non-Discrimination

Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs to comply with CCPA/CPRA?

Any business that collects personal information from California residents and meets certain thresholds — such as generating over $25 million in annual revenue, buying/selling/sharing personal information of 100,000 or more consumers, or deriving 50%+ of revenue from selling/sharing consumer data — must comply.

What consumer rights are guaranteed under CCPA/CPRA?

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt-out of sale or sharing, request corrections, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. CPRA also added a right of non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

What is the difference between CCPA and CPRA?

The CPRA (California Privacy Rights Act) is an amendment and expansion of the CCPA, effective January 1, 2023. CPRA introduced new rights (right to correct, right to limit sensitive data use), created the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA), expanded protections for sensitive personal information, and extended rights to employees and B2B contacts.

What are the penalties for CCPA/CPRA non-compliance?

The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) can impose civil penalties of up to $2,500 per unintentional violation and $7,500 per intentional violation. Under CPRA, violations involving children’s data carry automatic $7,500 fines. Consumers can also bring private lawsuits for data breaches, with statutory damages of $100–$750 per consumer per incident.
